Servicing/Repair 450slc

Hi, just purchased a 450 slc 1980 in good condition (my dream car since i was 12 - now 37!) but to bring it to perfection needs a little love and attention from a very good all round bodyshop/mechanic/restorer. The car has been checked over for me by an enthusiast prior to purchase so believe it not to be a duff, however, now I have got it home and locked away, need to find someone relatively local to me in Dorset? Beaulieu must have some local friendly chaps I could call upon? Any help would be appreciated. Karen

Hope you are injoying the slc I have slc 280. If by any chance you happen to come across any one that stock mats for the SLC i be greatfal as i am looking for some.

My first Merc. 79 450SLC

Hi Yo'all Just purchased my first Merc. - a 450 SLC Can anyone assist with advice on how to remove it's original radio (dos'nt work) . Also the previous owner had fitted mud-flaps which sat 4 - 6 inches above the ground. These would hit the ground, on less than perfect roads, so I've since removed them, but I'm wondering should the suspension be so soft. This is my first visit to this forum. You are all so helpful. Sean
