Hello

I recently bought a 1997 C180 and it is now due for its 126k service. I phoned the local MB dealer in Crawley and I was quoted £385. Is this the standard price at all MB dealers? Does anybody know of any reputable independent garages in the Sussex or Surrey area? Thank you.

Hi,

That sounds about right, I just paid £518 at Evans of Leicester for a 54,000 mile maintenance service on my C36 AMG. Add to that the cost of some rear discs and pads and you have a whopping £746 ...

Independant servicing HERE I COME! LOL

In all seriousness though, that does sound about right although I would guess some ringing round may get you a marginally better price.

Thank you for your reply. I called a few MB dealers and they were all more expensive - the highest £450. A friend gave me the details of a reputable MB-trained specialist. I'll call him to get a quote tomorrow.
