Hi all,
Just wondered if there is a way of setting the oil quality on the assyst system of a C200K W203 model? I have seen that you can do it on a W211/S211?

You can, but it resets the mileage to service, and it will flip the service too, so if A's showing, it will change to B (and vice versa).

That sounds perfect actually, as I have just done a B service on it myself. I reset the assyst but its now showing a B service due in 10000 miles! What you state sounds as if it would flip me to needing an A service next instead which would be correct. Do you know the procedure?

I can't remember exactly - I did it by mistake!

I *think* it's something like press the reset button (the trip reset button that sticks out of the dash) for 10 seconds while the display is showing miles to service. It then asks you what kind of oil (229.1,3 or 5) and you select that uing the up/down buttons on the steering wheel. Then it asks you to confirm.
Setting to 229.5 oil puts my service interval to 13000 miles (mine's a C270CDi).

If you figure out the correct procedure then please post it! (It may say in the handbook, I haven't looked).

By the way, it only flipped the first time, from B to A. Reseting it again (although I didn't do any miles) didn't cause it to keep flipping, it stayed on A.
