OK - confusing heading but I couldn't think of a quick way to describe my question!

I have a 04 E320 CDI estate with Comand. My brother has a S500L also with Comand.

My trip computer has the same wheel controls as his (except he has clickier buttons) BUT - and here it is - his trip info resets itself immediately he turns the engine off whereas mine will resume settings up to 4hrs after switch-off.

I can't see a way of altering my settings (or his) by using the wheel buttons - we've scrolled through the lot!

We'd both like to set the reset interval to 3 hrs. Does anyone know how to do this? Does any of this make sense to people??

Thanks, Russ.

i know what you mean, my r,class used to store all days driving nomatter how many times i used to start and stop, my c,class however seems to reset within an hour, i belive there isnt any way round this, just the way things have moved on in the tech land so now the new cars store the whole day.

I don't think there is anyway of increasing the stored time, though you can manually zero it at any time.
Personally I'd like mine to store the whole day but the 2 hours is ok most of the time.
