I have recently had the boot seats retro fitted from my '96 e240 estate to a 2001 model. No problems with the seats as the rear and boot are identical however I do have a problem with the seat belt hangers. On my old model the seat belt hung from a bracket that was bolted into the frame above the boot window. The newer model has side airbags for the boot making it impossible to re-hang. Looking at some photos of later e class models with rear facing seats it looks like the boot belts hang from the same hanger as the rear seat belts. Does anyone out these have a facelift E class estate seven seater who can confirm this ?
