Shaking car at low temperature

I have been having a problem with my C220 CDI 2003 in the last few weeks.

When the outside temp is lower than 5 degrees i get the following symptoms.

Car starts to shake every 10-15 seconds in idle mode (like its misfiring). Rumbling noise from under the bonnet near the air intake manifold.This dissapears as soon as the throttle is applied. Once the car is stationery again and in idle mode the symptoms reappear.
Symptoms completeley dissapear once engine temp reaches 80 degrees.

When the outside temp is higher than 5 degrees like today - no symptoms at all.

I have been to the dealers who initially replaced the fuel filter - no change.
The dealers then replaced the alternator pulley and tensioner - no change.

Can anyone please help and give me some advice.

How much would I be looking at to get the mounts replaced / repaired.

And furthermore, is it damaging the car in any way.

You can see visually if a mount has gone as the engine will be inclined in one direction.

The fact that it does it only every 10-15 sec gives me doubts on this, and why not a sticky injector when cold, or something of this nature

The engine seems quite level.
And you are probbaly right as if this was the case then it would shudder all the time not every 15 -20 secs.

I had the no 3 injector replaced a couple of months ago as the car was shaking all the time in idle - hot or cold.

I wonder whether it was not fitted properly.

Malc,,try some injection cleaner, its cheap and and just put it in the tank, the Millers4 would be the best

It is going back into the dealers tommorow. Will mention it to them.

Feedback on this problem.

Took it into the dealers and i told them to check the injectors via a diagnostic.

They kept it for 2 days and told me the injectors were fine but diagnosed the problem - "the coolant heater was not activating at the right time, putting a load on the engine ???"

They have adjusted the settings, and it is fine now.
