Shell Pluspoints / Shell Drivers Club

As I almost exclusively use Shell fuel I have built up quite a few points with Shell. I received a letter announcing the change over from Pluspoints to Drivers Club which listed my current points total and new points if they are transferred to the Drivers Club. I have just checked with Shell and whilst currently 1,500 points = £10 voucher the new system has 1,000 points = £5 voucher. ~0.33 more points required on the new system. As they will convert the current points at 1.33 the old rate you do not lose out. Although there are more restrictions on where you can get vouchers for on the new system.

I think I may cash mine in though for Shell vouchers and have some 'Free' fuel for awhile.

I had the same letter, altho I was signed up to the V power club so you got more points for using V Power fuel.

I have always had mine transferred to airmiles so now I get less airmiles for my fuel. Today my local Shell didnt have any Deisel (Yeah I know, I am tractor powered at the mo) so I had to risk Tescos, and you get the same deal using your tesco card, but you earn more points per purchase, and it takes more points to earn miles etc.

I still upset them by using my Shell credit card tho. Thus meaning I get 2 airmiles for the purchase by that alone too.

I have found I have got 10,000+ airmiles now. I am just wondering what I should do with them. Suggestions welcome.

Luckily we dont do flights there.

In fact, having heard recently about some issue that have gone on there, I dont actually want to go back there if I can help it. Parents still live in Leeds tho, so no doubt I will bump into people when I go visit them.

And if anybody wants to buy a detached house in Bradford, send me a PM. Mite do a discount for members.
