Hi. I May sound ignorant but can anyone tell me that in the winter when the air conditioning is not required, should the EC button be pressed to on (illuminating that light) or should it be left off?

This is when the heaters are set to hot (winter conditions). unfortunately I do not have a handbook.

Thank you

It is better for the car to just leave it at the required temperature. turning it oof will give condensation and musty smells

As malcolm, the air conditioning not only cools the air it extracts the moisture as well which helps keep the windows condensation free.

Dead right when my air conditioning was broken it used to steam up like mad inside if i'd just been to the gym or if i was wet. The best thing to do with A/C is to use it, i also noticed no difference in fuel economy now it works so i'd recommend leaving it set to auto.
