Side indicator light not working

Hi, I have owned my Merc 190E (1.8 manual '93) for 6 years now, the side indicator light near side stopped working some time ago.

I swapped the bulbs over and still the passenger side did not work bu the drivers side did so there is nothing wrong with the bulbs. The fuses all seemed ok, any hints/tips?

Most side repeaters have leads about ½m long with a couple of plug in connectors where the plug into the wiring harness, you may have to take off the wheel arch cover to gain access.
