I changed the sidelight bulbs today over to some white l.e.d ones because i wanted it to match the xenon's but after fitting them they just flicker on and off, mainly off and then they'll flicker on and go back off again for a while. Anyone have any ideas why? Is it to do with the voltage or something? On the pack it says they are for DC12v vehicles and the lighting range is DC10.5v-15.8v if that helps?

Get some switch cleaner Roy, the non drying type and give the holders a good squirt, that should solve it

The current is too low probably for them to make good contact, do not forget that you lamp warning will be on by using those bulbs

Maplins sell the non drying cleaner, and very use full for the car and home, circa £4

Will the warning be on all the time? That'll do my head in! Anyway around it? The yellow sidelights just look so rubbish next to xenon's

i have LED's on mine and they look soo much better. Try what Malc saying, the issue could also be carbon built up on the holders whic makes the contact on/off, If spray doesnt work then try to get some very fine sand paper and sand the tips which touch the bulb.

The Oram silver Stars look good without triggering the warning lamp

To turn out the lamp with LEDs requires the fitting of resistors, and not easy as they dissipate 5 watts of heat
