Side panel indicator light removal

I have a 190E 2.5 16v and want to remove one of the side mounted indicators. I believe they slide and then pulled out. But which way do they slide, they are quite solid!

you can put a screw driver (small flat head) gently under the right or left side and push in the clip, that way it'll pop out easily. be careful not to scuff the paint.

alternatively use your hand holding the light and pullit towards the front of the car, it should pop out.

You will often find that because of a broken plastic 'clip' they are fixed with adhesive, but still should be easily removed. As Anyweb pointed out, watch the paint!
