You do not say what car it is, and do you have a voltmeter

Window Wizards,

Forgot to mention some major details. She ia a 1978 300D. Meanwhile I have hooked a spare battery up to the front lft(drvr side) and it actually operated up & down. Duplicated on back rt. side window, but only heard faint click in both directions. I have lots of suspitions only. No probabilities. And yes i have volt meter.

I would think on this car that a wire has broken where it comes through the door opening, do bare in mind that earth wires (ground) can also break.

The voltage coming in I think goes to the window switch and this is the place to measure to see if you have got 12volts coming in, the door switch reverses the voltage to lower the window.

So measure to see if a live feed is coming in

Voltage Test complete

After testing for active voltage coming into front lft window (while pressing down on window switch and ignition key on). Meter reads continuity "only". Previously, when I had tested the other (2) doors they both read 6 volts as I pushed console switch down/up. Immediatly after releasing button, the "continuity" showed back up on meter.

Thanks alot
