Sl 300 1990 Asr Warning Light

Hi Folks Quick Silver is stirring from his winter hibernation :I have a problem with the asr warning light keep coming on .It comes on usually when the weather is very wet or heavy condensation and I lose about 50% of the throttle response (Yes I know this is the desired result if their is a problem) but I feel there is not and the problem is electrical it also makes the cruise control inoperative at the same time . As I said the problem seems to be during wet or very damp weather as on fine dry days the car is fine with no apparent problems, also sometimes when the asr light comes the car drives as normal without the loss of throttle response or the loss of the cruise control and makes pinpointing the problem more difficult to pin down .Any ideas any one

Thanks for the info TELEVISION that thread describes my symptons exactly although my problem seems to be wet weather orientated and not hot at least I know where to start looking . I will let you know if it is succesful.

At last I've solved the problem, It turned out to be the over voltage protection relay cost £45 to replace and took about 10 mins to do the job.Happy again now.
