Hi,

I am about to change the tyres on my 1998 - SL320. At present they are Pirelli P6000 225/55/ZR16's fitted to 8 hole wheels. As I have only had the car a short time I do not know how good these tyres are. My motoring will be mixed short and long journeys, rain or shine but only about 5000 per year. The selection is huge and the prices vary from £60 to £150 per tyre. What tyres would people suggest? Does anybody know anything about Kumho tyres? Thanks for your help.

On my SL320 I have Goodyear Eagle F1's, 245/40x18 front & 275/35x18 rears :D
Good allround tyres, a little expensive, but gives excellent grip in all conditions.

P6000 are not really a Sports Car tyre - see the Pirelli website tyre selector - depends what you're looking for. The P-Zero Rosso would be a more 'sporting' choice IMO.
