SL 320 Alarm System/Hazard Warning Lights

My SL320 1997.
On pressing the remote control key fob the alarm system arms itself. After 35 seconds the hazard warning lights flash exactly 30 times. They then stop flashing for 6 seconds and then resume flashing for a further 30 flashes and so on.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have never heard of this, see what I can find.

Problem solved.....my girlfriend hadn't closed the boot properly which had triggered the hazards to flash. Not saying anything against lady drivers.
