My driver seat controller isnt working properly. the seat recline control makes the seat move forward. and it wont go back again. Is there a position sensor in the seat that could be faulty or is it likely to be the contoller?

I believe there is a micro switch that could be stuck, they are change over switches so could be either one.

I am sure that you can just remove the squab by taking out the 2 screws along the bottom edge on a 129 and it lifts off and out,,I can check to be sure

For most people this would be "a nice problem to have".

However, if your 129 ever develops a squeak you can't understand, check that the front seat hasn't travelled back to rest on the rear "seats". If it has, moving it forward slightly will cure the squeak and return you to the perfection and serenity you deserve.

could be the switch, or seat control unit under seat or the sensor behind the seat playing up. Does the seat try and move a little when the switch is operated?

seat slides back a little so that it needs abot 200 presses of teh button to slide it back fully. More annoying the recline angle is fully forward and if you try to press the recline backwards control the whole seat slides forward instead squashing you against the steering wheel.

I tried t remove the seat from the car last night. I removes 4 spline headed bolts from the back of the seats and 2 from teh font. Seat is now free on the side furthest from the door but something is still catching on the door side. ANy ideas what other fixings I might be missing?

try removing the panel at the side of rear seat/bench and disconnect the limit sensor there.

unfortuneately the power hood isnt working now. Does it need the limit sensor to operate? Or is it more likely that Ive disconnected something when removing the limit sensor? WHen I pull the hood control back it flashes red but the hood doesnot move at all. WHen I push it forward it makes a noise that stops after a sec or so.

Hood should work if sensor is disconnected, start from scratch, seat back correct, window gone down, car level etc etc.

In that case you must re sync the roll bar windows otherwise the roof does not know what to do.

Hold the rollbar switch up for 10 sec with the key turned to 2

Do the same with the windows hold the switch up for 10 sec in key 2 and the roof will work

OK, that sounds simple. I'll try it tonight and see what happens. Do you do each of the windows in turn or simultaneously?

As you only have 2 :D do them one at a time

I guessed that you had had the battery off and as earlier the roof will not work until it knows where the windows and roll bar are

I tried several times to re synch the hood. With the engine running I held up the roll bar control for a count of 10 secs plus. Then repeated with the windows. The hood control button just flashes red and nothing happens. It seems to much of a coincidence that I had disconnected the battery. Any suggestions? I assumed that Key 2 is the engine running position?

This normally always work and must be done.

Disconnect battery again, then re connect, do not touch the roof switch.
Let the windows go down, then up and hold the button 10 sec,, do the same with the roll bar, this should go up and down with the roll bar switch. then try again.

Do you have the key to lower the roof manually
