SL 320 Hard top switches lit.

As a newby can anyone help me with this problem.
W203 1997 SL 320. The H/top switches are lit and will not release the top.The car has been stood for 4 weeks and was a tiny bit sluggish to start this weekend.Is there any way I can release the top and reset the switches?
This problem also happened 18 months ago when I bought it privately after the owner had to charge up the battery.In the end it went to MB they rectified it but cost £240 !!
I am quite O.K.with mechanics but this one has me stumped!!
Also the Bum Warmers don't work although the switches are lit when operated .Any help in that department? It could be low voltage as the window drop didnt operate as well so the door wouldn't close but I've sorted that by moving them up and down to reset.
Any help would be much appreciated

Mike hello and welcome, why not release the hood /top with the manual key and see what happens, do it at all 4 points.

The main rules are that the battery should be full, and the windows and roll bar normalized, so that the roof knows where the windows and roll bar are.

Hold the window switch in the up mode for 10 seconds in key 2, and put the roll bar up and do the same.
