Hi. I am again in need of help with my SL. I recently had 2 new tyres fitted and the fitter pointed out that I only had 4 bolts in each wheel. I assumed (wrongly) that someone had removed the locking wheel bolts. I went down to my local indie (Millenium Mercedes in Dereham) and they took the chassis no and ordered me a new set. Got them yesterday and went to fit them today only to find out that they are too short. Popped back to Millenium and they took a wheel off to have a look as they suspected the car had spacers fitted. Turned out there were no spacers. The wheels are AMG 18in 5 hole with the little bolts around the rim. They even have the 5 little holes for the tracking in them. Does anyone know where I can get either a set of locking bolts (preferable) or else just some long bolts to fit ? Luckily the guys at Millenium pointed out that the spare was a standard sl alloy 16 in and that if I had put that on with the lond bolts on the back, the handbrack shoes would be deceased, so I have ordered a set of 5 standard length bolts for that. Thanks in advance chaps. Barry

The bolts with the long shank are no longer available, just put a bolt through the hole in the wheel, and check that you have 12mm sticking out of the rear, and that is correct

Shops like Top Gear keep a good range at £1 each, they are radius bolts and not taper, take one of your original bolts out and measure the thread length to the start of the radius, iot could be 28mm or 38mm. MB also have them but at over £2 each.

They are 12mm in diameter on all 129,s
