Hi
Just wondering has anyone seen this type of oil leak. As well recorded my m112 is suffering with oil leaks.

I just got the rocker cover gaskets done during the week. But I have still noticed that oil is gather on one of the coil packs and I can't figure out where it is coming from.

So I see what looks like fresh oil gathering on the top of the first coil pack on the drivers side (RHD). But cant see how it is getting there. When I say first coil pack it is the one closest to the front of the car (rad fan). It does look like the breather gaskets is leaking a little bit. But I cannot see how the oil from there gets to the top of that coil pack.

Any suggestions??

Pop the coil pack off, clean it off so its spotless, and run the engine.

Might be a cracked cover, as this is not a common location for leaks.

naming the cylinder number might be easier, as I cannot figure out which you are talking about

Thanks, Alexander you mentioned something which I was wondering about. I was hoping you were going to say common issue and it's a quick fix.

I'll let you know how it goes.

If I am reading the diagram correctly in that the arrow points to the front of the car. Then I am talking about the coil pack for cylinder 1

Ok an update and this is doing my head in a bit... I took off the coil and gave it a good clean to about 80%. I did notice what looked like fresh oil behind the coil on the rocker cover. So I was starting to think a possible crack in the cover and oil was making it's way past the screw and down the coil.
So after the clean, I took the car for a drive and wanted about 2hrs and checked again. Oil was back on top of the coil. Not a lot but still there. I lifted the coil to see if there was any oil behind the coil and surprise surprise nothing bone dry...so now I really have no clue how this is getting there. I have noticed that the breather cover is leaking and I also noticed that that the drivers side bank has a lot more oil residue on it then the passenger so I am now wondering could there be a lot of oil vapour on that side which is turning back to liquid on that coil....though I really feel I am stretching it with that theory....will have to stay with it till I find it.

The breathers should have been re-sealed at the same time the gaskets were replaced otherwise its half a job as they leak from both places.
Is it not just leaking from the breather tank into the coil pack?

Yeah they didn't get done when the gaskets were done. The passenger side is pretty ok and the coils on that side are in better shape then the drivers side so I think someone has done that side before..

You are right I have to do them before I look at anything else....ill get it into my mechanic in the next couple of weeks
