I have an 03-2003 SL 500. I bought it in January 2004, and immediately noticed a distinct vibration through the steering wheel at low revs (e.g., creeping).
I waited for the A service (now) and pointed this out. The reply I received was "that's normal - we tried a couple of other cars and got the same thing".
Needless, to say, I didn't take a lot of comfort from the fact that other cars have the same problem as mine, but on the assumption this is normal, presumably there are lots of other SL 500 owners out there that have noticed it too?!
