SL 55 amg intercooler help

supercharger started playing up realised it needs new intercooler pump etc,, anyone know a good specialist to fit one and the approx price?,also is it worth getting an aftermarket intercooler pump etc from kleenman or others and whats the price difference

There is much talk on the US forums about uprated pumps, but to be honest I am unsure about the benefits. To my mind, the intercooler radiator is there to lose some heat from the coolant, and by passing it through faster surely you are reducing the amount of time available for the liquid to cool???

The stock pump is quite expensive, and is almost the same as that fitted to the Ford Lightening supercharged pick up truck (cheaper). We don't see many of those over here, so a merc replacement may be your easiest fix.
