Hi
Think I need to replace my plugs as last changed 8 years ago, but only 25,000 miles since changed.
Seem to be 3 options Bosch Platin or NGK Iridium IX or IFR6A.
Any views on which is best
Thanks for any help Best David

do they need changing at 25k ? the fancy NGK ones in my vxr are good for 40k
More worried about the 8 year time and getting them out than the actual miles

I’d change them regardless, I change my plugs in my motorbike every 2 years regardless of mileage as I’ve found they misfire at high RPM after 2 years. Mileage is generally less than 1,000 miles per year...

You have an AMG show it some love :)

I had my 55k plugs changed by Cole at MBS in 2018 and they were a devil to remove. I would certainly renew them at the recommended time span of 4 yearly (or 50k miles)

I got the plugs from an ebay retailer for around £100 for 16 plugs and used the NGK IFR6A plugs.

^ If they are really stubborn you may have to refit all the plugs and coil packs, start the engine up and get some heat in them before they'll come out. Then replace a pair of plugs at a time and refit the coil pack so you can restart anytime to get more heat in them. My indy took a couple o hours of hard work to remove them. He did one bank at a time. If one snaps, it can be an engine out job to get the plug out:(. Just a warning to be careful.
