Hi,
Re: 1999 Mercedes SL 320
I posted some time ago and haven't got around to sorting the problem. My heating system (warm or cool air) stops working after a period of about 15 minutes when the AC is on. Essentially, no air flow comes into the vehicle, even though you can feel it is either blowing cool or hot air behind the vents.
If ECU is off, air comes through the vents as usual.
Last time I posted, Steve was kind enough to post the folowing reply:
"I had a similiar problem - it was caused by the cooling element freezing up and therefore blocking the air flow.
If you switch to eco mode and the problem goes away this will confirm it.
It was caused by the temperature sensor on it not working.
You can check if its reading the correct temperature via the climate control panel
Dealer replaced mine at little cost.
Steve"
My usually excellent garage are not clear on the solution: can anyone advise where I can get this sorted.
Many thanks for any advice.
