sl boot wont close

Hi there; I recently had to replace the boot LED brake light as the seal had gone and water was getting in; after a heavy downpour the boot lock when opened poured out the water, so, light replaced and seal sorted but now my boot won't actually lock shut and therefore the roof won't come down as the boots not closed properly, I cant therefore really drive anywhere safely because of the boot being open and my lord the ding telling me its not shut isn't annoying at all; please can anyone advise what needs to be done or is it get the mechanic to look at perhaps buggered up electrics?

I expect you have disturbed part of the lock mech when changing the light. Retrace your steps and see what’s moved or stuck.
