SL Headlights

Hi there
Does anyone know to remove the headlight glass from an SL? Some insects have managed to crawl into one of my headlights and I cannot remove them from the aperture where the light bulb fits. I had hoped the insects would disintegrate with the heat of the headlight but this hasn't happened. Any suggestions gratefully received!

as I have refurbed the 107 type and can just remember how it goes.

Sorry should have mentioned, it is a 2004 SL350.

dare I suggest

you try a vacuum cleaner first from the bulb aperture. I have one of those pretty smallbore
connections, for computers and the like. If you are careful and don't touch the reflectors ( the silvering is very delicate) you might be able to hoover them out
