sl letting in water

i new it was a sympton of sl's when i brought the car , but does anyone know of a way to reduce/stop the water comming in from the top of the door pillars (only the bucket on my lap makes it look like i suffer from travel sickness

Hi

SL'S don't let in water through the drop glasse's unless the seals are worn. Or the glass missaligned.

I have drove lots of SL mercs and none of them have let water in,there must be something wrong with yours.....ps did you get the bucket with the car when you bought it.???????If so that was the clue to walk away from it....

Mine let water in through there, there were two issues, windscreen not glued in properly, cost £50 to get rebonded, then I replaced the pillar seals and aligned windows. it is now completely waterproof.

Mine had a leak too last time it rained heavily - all seals look brand new (car is only 2001), unfortunately water + sand/Nappa interior = stains !

No leaks when hard top on though.......
