How common is it for the anti-roll bar to automatically operate under normal driving conditions? Would it self deploy under hard braking? What are the likely conditions for auto deploy?
Thanks to all. Ed

The anti roll bar is deployed when the side angle of the car goes to 45 degrees, on the early cars the sensors are on the rear suspension, later cars (yours) its uder the rear seat.

Excuse me? Are we talking about the roll bar i.e. the roll-over protection or the anti-roll bar i.e. the cross suspension springing?? I would hate to deploy the anti-roll bar at any speed - it would be painful.:D

Malcolm, what deploys the roll bar explosive/spring/gravity?
