I am trying to locate a secondhand roof control module for my SL320 1997.I have tried the usual part finders but with no success.Can these be repaired?The part number is a1298203126.

Yes, there are firms in the states that do an repair exchange service.

The US ECUs are different to the ones in Euro model cars so if you use them make sure they give you the correct model. Malcolm do you have details of these companies?

I wonder how long they've been doing them? I know Mercedes were the only ones who would exchange the units - but that was when they had a share in Temic who made them - now sold out to Continental I believe?

This firm does every ECU modual down to duo valves for all our cars, the USA forums rate the firm highly. One day I would like to test out one of these moduals, its only full of transistors, they can be tested cold.

Module fixed by a company called Bba Rehmann located in Derbyshire tel 0115 9190770.Excellent service.Cost £110 inc vat.
