Any ideas please on how best to remove small amounts of tree sap from a canvas soft top?

Local valet guy uses this stuff http://www.303products.com/tech/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=327

which seems to do a good job (and then the matching protector to stop it all sticking next time!).

Autoglym make canvas hood cleaner and restorer / protector products, which I can vouch for. Neighbours cat took to sleeping on the roof of the better half's A4 ragtop, and the autoglym stuff got rid of the hair, paw prints, and other muddy marks a treat. Halfords stock it.
