Own SL320 and although not techi I wondered if anyone had advice o the following;
:?: any recommended cleaning methods for the rear plastic window. Mine is 4 years old and seems marked and always hazy.
:?: i think a pin on the lever mech. for allowing the passenger to enter the rear as poped. how can i get to it. I can just about see in between the leather seating between shoulder and back support but getting in their?
:?: any recommended cleaning / renovation tips for my cream nappa seats. Drivers is scratched I guess from back pocket buttons. I thought about using a shoe polish or something like just to smarten up. I use it everyday so expect wear and tear.

first time user of the web - owners club member and adore my SL320 - so much so i cannot bear to change it even though my kids are out growing the rear seats.

There are specific cleaners for polishing fine scratches in the soft-plastic windows. You can get them from MB dealers or from Halfords etc. AutoGlym, available at Halfords, also do a 2-spray kit for cleaning and re-waterproofing the fabric.

Can't really help with the pin, as I can't see first hand, but it may be easier to get a new pin from the dealer. It won't cost much.

I think that the best stuff for leather can be found here:

www.leatherique.com (rejouvinator oil)

Otherwise, get something that has natural (animal/vegetable) oils and that does not contain any mineral oils nor silicone. Silicone, gives a shiny appearance, but it blocks the pores and attracts dust. The Connolly Hide Food is not bad also, but a bit greasy.

There have been other threads posted on this forum, to do with these products.

Had the same problem with my rear window on a 2000 model. Try Plastic X from http://www.meguiars.co.uk . Its only £7.99 and worked a treat. Remeber to place masking tape around the hood/window surround. Getting any wax/cleaning agent out from the fabric hood can be a real pain.
