I have purchased a 2001 sl320 this year and experiencing vibration at all speeds felt mainly through the seat, seems worse since removing the hardtop. Had wheels balanced, bearing and rubbers on drive shaft, Mercedes have checked suspension. anyone got any ideas, similar experience?

You mean the propshaft. There are still two CV joints on each of the two driveshafts which will cause this if worn. These are pricey items though so hopefully someone will come up with a less obvious (and simpler) reason.gricey said:
