SL350/450 R107 on unleaded?

Hello everyone,

Still gathering information re my purchase in the near future.

I got myself a neat official Merc UK brochure from 1978, and it struck me that obviously at the time these Mercs were running on leaded premium.

Do they actually also run on unleaded, or do they need some kind of refit?

I know it is probably a silly question, but probably not as silly as killing your engine at the first refill.... :???:
