SL350 R230 - Code P2188 any ideas?

Hello all, new to the forum here.
I have a 2006 SL350 R230. Recently, the engine warning light has been flicking on, with a code error of P2188 "Too rich at idle bank 1". After some inspection around the air intake cover, I noticed the rubber seal between the engine and airtake had perished. Swapped for a new one, cleared the code, all good. About 2 weeks later with no issues (this is my daily), the light is back on with the same error code. Any other ideas what this could be? Car seems to run fine with the engine light on.

Not sure if it is related, but I also had to replace a couple of the ignition coils a while back as 2 out of the 6 had failed (coils 4 and 3). Are these in the same area as Idle Bank 1??

Can’t help with the bank 1 . Maybe swap the coils around so 4&3 are on the same side and see if the fault moves with them ?
