SL350 SRS light

Hi,
I have a 2006 SL350 the SRS light comes on intermittently this stops my windscreen wipers and heated seats working then my roll bar light comes on and I get a clicking noise from the roll bar over my right shoulder the Radio then turns itself off and on in an instance
I have replaced the Battery in the boot as someone suggested this could be not holding charge however it was not that.
Someone said the passenger SAM unit under the fuse box maybe the fault can this be done by a DIY or would it need a garage has anyone had the same problem and tried changing the SAM unit?
Any help would be appreciated as it is driving me mad

I was dogged with this fault a while back. Eis, ignition switch replacement solved it in the end, but not until i had replaced drivers sam with no improvement. Don't get caught out. Try bashing near the keyhole with the heel of your hand to see if the fault will come/go.

O think as uncle benz the EIS switch,,, easy to get this mixed up with a SAM but not quite

Did mercedes fit the new EIS and what cost am I expecting

Hi,

Just to let you know started the car this morning and the SRS light and Roll bar light was on, gave the Ignition barrel a thump with my hand and the lights went off it happened again this afternoon with the same result so it looks like the EIS could be the problem.
