SL350 window won`t shut

I took off door panel to gain acsses to dent in door,had the dent removed i plugged in all the wiring refitted door panel, when i tryed the window it goes up and down but dosn`t shut like it should when you shut the door also quarter window is the same.
when i alarm the car using the fob the indicator lights don`t flash on and off but they do when dissarming could this be to do whith same problem as window.
any help would be appreciated thanks steve.

not sure about the alarm, but the windows need to re-learn - dead easy.

Switch on ignition, drop each window by pushing & holding th button (don't use one-touch) - as it gets to fully open, keep the button pressed for 5 seconds. The raise, again holding the button & again, when fully raised, keep button pulled up for 5 seconds.

Repeat with rear windows - should be ok then.


The alarm might even then start behaving

You have refitted the cover around the the door latch yes????

I have not yet fitted cover to edge of door if thats what you meen incase i had to remove door panel again.

Sorry guys,feel stupid,put cover back on edge of door,all working fine i wouldn`t thought that! why would this stop these things from working, thanks drmw and cole@MBS for your info.
