;)

Not very technical so please bear with me and thank you for your patience.
I have an SL500 on a 53 plate. Usually, when one opens the driver's door a low brake warning, start engine message comes up on the instrument panel.
Local MB dealer has had no luck at all in tracing any fault and the battery has been replaced. The message continues. There is no rhyme or reason for its appearance as far as I can see. It comes on after long drives, short drives, generally at random.
Any suggestions gratefully received, thank you.
Gullwing.

This could be due to with the SBC braking system not shutting down or running too often.

Have you had the last recall done this year, since the re call mine can do it if not driven for a few days, but it never comes on when driving.

Does yours really come on when driving, if it does it means that the battery needs topping up.

Thank you for the replies. It never comes on when driving but as far as I can remember the car did go through the re call earlier this year.

Dont worry as mine is doing that since that re call, and the pump seems to run longer. The re call did involve the re programming of the pump.

enjoy your super car

We shall see what MB have to say but I expect they will echo your sentiments of avoiding worry. I will await further information and in the meantime, many thanks for the input. :)
