Sl500 cat delete

Hi all again, l know I've asked about the sound my car makes, or doesn't make more to the point. Im still confused and even more so after speaking to a Exhaust fabrication guy.
What I'm after is to hear a SL500 that has had the Exhaust altered, so......is there anyone in Bucks or Berks that would like to show off their car to me if I tootle over?

The usual method is (assuming R230) a secondary cat delete. You should still pass MOTs if your primary cats are OK.

My SL500 has had the secondary cats removed c/w the housing which was replaced with straight s/s pipes.

I am near Oxford.

Ask Malcolm Television. He has secondary cats deleted, X pipe installed and engine tuned on his R230 SL500. That's pretty much the limit of what you can do. He is in Northants but not far from MK up the M1.

However remember, the point of the SL being what it is is to have it smooth and almost-silent unless being pushed; if you want it noisy buy an Impreza

OK......I am not precious about the number.......hundreds of people have it.

As said, mine lower CATs are removed, but it does need the X pipe to smooth it all out.

Went to hear Mic's car this morning with just the Cats removed and no X Pipe fitted, sounded more like it and not to loud.
Many thanks Mic for taking the time to show me and for putting it up on the lift for me to see and the best Coffee for a long time complete with home made biccy's, perfect!
