Hi. I have just bought my sisters beautiful 2001 (old shape)SL500. It is a lovely smooth ride, and has only done 26,000 miles. The issue I find with it is, the engine is a little 'lumpy on tick over, unlike my previous car which was a XKR Jag, which I needed to look at the rev counter to tell if the engine was running.
Any info on correcting this would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would agree. Either a set of leads or maybe a coil or two are causing your missfire.

Take it to a place where they have good oscilliscope diagnosis and they should be able to trace it for you.
