Me again ! Can I take the consumer battery out to charge it without causing any issues with the electrics ? Thanks

Why not just connect up a battery conditioner lead so you can plug it in?

I live on an island so I have no electric points near to the car

Use another/your other battery as an alternative power source for the battery you need to remove from the car!

Yes it can be removed. You will need to reteach the windows and steering angle sensor.
