Hi guys

Just thought I would check if anybody knows of any commen problems with the PDC on an SL55. Whenever mine is active (not turned off on the button) there is a 2 sec beep and both front and rear displays shows two red lights before eventually turning itself back off on the button. I am guessing the fact that it is both displays, iw is more likely something like an earth fault, as I presume a faulty sensor would only show on the relevant display (fron or back) Any thoughts, or common areas to look would be appreciated

Thanks

Dan

Yes this will be the main ECU for this 40 in this link. Many of the panels in the boot will have to be removed to get to it,,I can give that info

It will be on the near side I think,,that is where most of the modules are, if you remover the rear portion of the trim,,the side panel may open up enough to see in there

If one sensor is open circuit, this will shut the system off, showing all red LEDs in the display. Needs to be soughted with diag/star machine.

Hi

I agree with type49 as the sensor can cause the system to shut down completly and this will give you the red warning your getting.

As type49 says i would get it stuck on a star machine and diagnosed before you jump in and replace the control unit as this would be a costly mistake to make especially if it doesnt cure it.

I would either get it booked into a main dealer for them to diagnose or someone may know a local independant for yo to take it to

By all means do a STAR check, but the 230 has individual read outs and they are not connected other than from the main control unit, unlike cars that only have one display
