My 114 has started to transmit vibration thru the wheel when I go over bumps. I think it may need new shocks. But I also think there is alot of slack in the steering box. The bushes, trackrods etc appear to be very good with tigh bolts etc. How do I take up the slack.??I have heard there is a bolt to turn. Is this accesseble from above or below. Do I turn it clockwise or anti clock .
Cheers D

that got me thinking - so i just went and got my period manual out..

turns out that you have to remove the steering box to adjust it properly - but i bet you can do it on the car from underneath.

theres is a ring with two holes in it (a bit like an angle grider nut) that you will need a peg spanner to get to. turn it in (clockwise) to tighten. ring is on steeringwheel side of box.
