SLC43 Gives Rear Seat Reminder?

After having my 2017 SLC43 with the dealer for Keyless Go issues I’ve noticed this “three person” icon appear in the dash while reversing down the driveway. It goes off once I put it into drive and move forward a few feet. I’ve gathered it’s a rear seatbelt reminder... but of course the car has no rear seats.

I’ve had the car three years and have never noticed it before. Perhaps it was there all along but I really don’t think so.

Can any other SLC owners confirm if they get this warning as well?

welcome, If I remember my Mercs correctly it will always do this, but if any of the seats are occupied and a seatbelt isn't on, then it will display the warning (probably RED seatbelt and audible)...it's this way in my Volvo so quite universal I think
Edit : just noticed it's an SLC , misread thought it was GLC and didn't read your post fully sorry!...looks strange since you don't have rear seats as you say?

My E (W213) would show if the rear belts were in use or not - your's looks like it has some wrong coding as it shouldn't be advising about rear belts...

Never happened in my SLK (R172) and also not in my current 2 seater.

Press the ok button on the steering wheel & it will disappear.
