sliding roof

I have a 94 E420. After I replaced the car battery, the overhead sliding roof switch does not work properly. The close pull down action will open the roof and when I use the car key to close all the windows the roof will open instead of closing. is this a relay problem or I have blown a diode somewhere?

Its gone out of sync (lost its memory) just fully open the roof (by whatever means the switch will allow), and then fully close it again, should then remember both positions and work ok, if not keep trying.
