Thought it could be! Did you replace them yourself?
No, afraid I had my Indy do them, I’m not massively mechanically minded and as I needed the car for work didn’t dare tackle it myself.

As the other have said try the drop links as I had all sorts changed prior to changing the shocks,

Here is a picture of the bottom of my shock absorber, it looks very corroded to me, could this be a source of the noise?

So ive been poking around this again, and possibly located the issue but in not sure.
Ive attached a picture with arrows to illustrate which direction it moves in at the top there is at least 0.5mm of wiggle! Is this normal for a roll bar link??

As I said previously, remove the droplink, do a short test drive. No noise and there's your answer.

Ahhhhh yes, sorry i was going to try this but i totally forgot, is it absolutely safe to remove it and drive on it though....

Yes it's safe, just don't try any sudden movements or high speed cornering. You only need do it to test.
