Slight misfire Mercedes Vito 2007 OM 646 engine

Hi all at hope all is well, I have had new Turbo and EGR valve fitted to My van because it went into limp mode, running well apart from a slight splutter when cold, Is there a sensor that detects temp, almost like a choke, any help would be appreciated Cheers Iain
