Hi all

Have a slight vibration on my C270 CDi 03, Auto 40K. Can feel it up through steering column and under foot, very slight. Can feel it come in, not every time I drive car, its almost as if something going out of balance, also happens when static, can sometimes hear a noise like alternator when bearings get tired!

I first noticed it a few Months ago, came in for a few seconds then went away, very intermittent, now coming in more often

Any theories please.

Thanks

Bryan

As a random thought it could be the A/C pump clutch cutting in, have you tried switching the A/C off to see if it has any effect ?

The only other thing that springs to mind is the radiator cooling fan. But don`t ever go in there with your fingers, even with the key out of the ignition the fan can still start as heat builds up in the block after the engine has been switched off

648 in the 211

Does that affect mine Malcolm?
Its a lot better now that it used to be but there is still something there from time to time. It would be nice to resolve it entirely.
