Hi
I am a new member and this is my first visit to the site. I've had my SLK 230 with full AMG kit etc since new in April 1999. My wife and I collected it from Bremen...a truly memorable and emotional experience. It's a fantastic little car to drive.....when my wife allows me to use it.... and intend keeping it until I have to change it for a zimmer frame!!
Meanwhile I am thinking of boosting its performance and increasing power and torque by rechipping the engine management system, which may also require a different pully for the supercharger. I was wondering if anyone has had their 230 rechipped and would appreciate any comments on performance changes and tuning organisations which carryout this type of work.
Incidentally I recently had the two rear AMG wheels refurbished
(diamond turned and laquered) to Mercedes Spec at Pristine based in Wooburn Sands, Milton Keynes. 01908 282628. They were recommended to me by a colleague with a C36 and they have done an excellent job.
