Hi I have owned my SLK 230 (1999) for just over six months, no problems to date except a puncture.

However with the onset of the cold weather I have found that on the drivers side I am experiencing heater problems.

The driver side will not blow hot /warm air with the setting on red.

The passenger side is fine, am I missing something, any ideas?

It was -0.5 this morning.

You haven't turned it on to the defrost windscreen setting have you?

I used to own a SLK 2000 and if i turn the dial as far as i could passed the red it would click on to a logo of the windscreen which was part of the defrost windscreen setting.

SLK Cold driver

Hi thanks for the reply, I had a look to see if mine was the same, it does click when it is turned all of the way around.

However both sides click the passenger side stays relatively warm, the drivers remains decidedly cool no matter where I set it.

I know this may sound stupid but try taking out the pollen filter and see if it blows hot air, had this problem with a s-plate e200 and that?s what was restricting the air flow through the heater matrix and was blowing cool air at one side but the other side was a bit warmer
