SLK over-heating

Has anyone had experience of their SLK over heating? I have a 2001 SLK 200 and if I sit in traffic for 15 mins or more the temperature reaches 100 and the light comes on to notify that the engine is getting too hot. Is this a standard SLK issue, should I take it back to MB as its still under warranty?

Well i took it to the garage, they alledgedly spent all day looking into it but couldn't find a problem! :? They suggest bringing it in as soon as it happens again! hmmm. I have nothing but problems with garages round my area in north London. When i collected the car the drivers seat was wet! and I am going to have to take the car back now because it now sounds like a taxi and revs itself when idle...I have had the car just over a year and had to bring it back 4 times already. 3 times for the same issue of engine management light coming on that was only resolved when i took the vehicle to the City garage.

Could someone please tell me which garage they feel they have had most success with in London and also who I should write to in order to complain as its getting tiring now. I bought a mercedes due to its supposed reliability and quality, but not having much luck so far.

Please let us know what garage you went to-they sound pretty useless MB dealership or not!!
