Hi

Car just failed the MOT on both front to rear pipes. MB sell the pair for £75, which isn't too bad but just how difficult is it to replace them? I don't think the subframe needs to come out, so could just be a matter of trying to feed them through. Have searched the internet for any info - can't find any. Couldn't find a diagram either but at least the dealership told me both pipes were the same code (which I found strange) and were a single pipe from the ABS to the rear.

Any advice/wisdom would be helpful! Thanks.

Car is SLK 200 late 2008 (facelift)

Think the sub frame needs to be dropped down to feed them through

Thanks - that's what I was afraid of. I may joint it instead. Anything to minimise the the scope of the job.
